Yvonne (Iwona) Kower has worked in the performing arts for many years as a dancer, choreographer, actor and lecturer in dance and movement, having studied in London and Poland for a number of years. She has been involved in the Polish community as a dancer, artistic director and choreographer, currently working with Polish Folkloric Ensemble Syrenka and most recently artistically directed PolArt Sydney in 2022. Achieving a Master of Art in video dance at UNSW College of Fine Arts, she has always held a fascination for rhythm on screen with her work being represented at many international festivals and screened on television. This aspect of her art is evolving back to 2-dimensional artwork, representing both Polish folk tradition at its heart and a play with rhythm at its core.
