Born in 1942 in Poland, Paweł is known for his string artworks, created with meticulous care and vibrant detail, often drawing on geometric forms and cultural motifs. He is a freelance journalist who has contributed to numerous Polish newspapers, both in Poland and internationally. He was a broadcaster for Radio Free Europe in Munich, Germany, as well as for Polish Community Radio Adelaide 5EBI FM. Paweł has written and published two books: Leksykon Morski (Maritime Lexicon) and Ciemna jest noc (The Night is Dark).
A keen bibliophile, Paweł owns one of the largest private collections of Polish books in Australia. He is the leading classified string artist in the country and actively promotes this form of art within the Australian community.
Paweł has held numerous art exhibitions in Adelaide, Whyalla, and Melbourne. From an art critic’s opinion:
“For many, string art evokes images of yesteryear. For others, it may be their introduction to this amazing art form because everybody can see what is achieved with imagination, patience and by using wood, nails, hammers, fabric and humble coloured threads!”
