Megan Debicki

Megan is a contemporary watercolour artist whose enchanting fairy tale-inspired illustrations captivate viewers with their distinctive style that blends whimsical storytelling with organic elements. Drawing inspiration from childhood stories and folklore, Megan’s ability to capture intricate details fills each piece with a sense of wonder and depth.

Megan studied Visual Arts at the University of South Australia, where she developed a deep appreciation for the relationship between art and nature. Her formal education, combined with a lifelong passion for children’s illustration has shaped her approach to painting – creating works that explore the imagination while celebrating beauty found in the natural world.

In 2006 Megan received the Australian Decorative and Fine Arts Society award, a recognition of her talent and commitment to her craft. Over the years, her work has been exhibited in various galleries and collections including Gallery One in Mitcham, Pepper Street Gallery in Magill, various SALA exhibits and Blackwood Library’s Open Community Exhibition 2025.

Megan balances her time between raising a family, working as a primary school teacher and practicing her art.
