A native of Warsaw, Jolanta emigrated to Australia and later graduated from the Department of Archaeology at the University of Sydney. She subsequently completed a Master’s degree in Education and began working as an educator in the field of prehistory. In cooperation with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), she also worked as an English teacher, preparing new students for the teaching profession.
During her years in exile, Jolanta never abandoned her passion for poetry. Her works touch on many aspects of everyday life — the nature of feelings, words, and actions — and connect them to ideas of human development, unity, and eternity.
She is a member of the Sydney poetry club Poetralia, which promotes Polish poetry and organises workshops in cooperation with Dr. hab. Tomasz Cieślak of the University of Łódź. Jolanta presents her poems at events such as the PolArt Festival and at poetry evenings in Sydney.
Currently, poems by members of the club, including Jolanta, are being prepared for publication by the University of Łódź.
Jolanta is a mother of three, and lives and works in Sydney.
