Born in 1956 in Poland, Roman Gołąbek began his professional life as an educator, working at the Warsaw University of Technology (Politechnika Warszawska) until 1989 before migrating to Australia. For more than three decades, he taught in both state and private schools across South Australia, while also coaching sports at state, national and international levels.
A serious health challenge later in life became a turning point—one that, through what he describes as Divine intervention, reshaped his outlook and reignited his lifelong passion for music. With renewed purpose and faith, Roman fulfilled a childhood dream by composing and recording two albums.
In 2017, he founded the Blue Print Project—a band bringing together talented musicians from diverse backgrounds and genres who share his passion for music. The ensemble blends elements of folk, jazz and contemporary sounds, creating a vibrant platform dedicated to the joy of performance and the uplifting connection between artist and audience.
Roman considers it a true blessing and privilege to participate in this significant PolArt event, sharing his music with fellow artists and communities from across Australia in a celebration of faith, art and the enduring Polish spirit.
