Podhale has a membership base of over 40 performers in 3 age categories. The Ensemble is based in South Western Sydney, at the White Eagle Hall, Cabramatta and is under the patronage of the Cabramatta Polish Association.

Podhale has performed at every PolArt since Adelaide 2009 and at the PolArt children events since Melbourne 2015. Podhale has performed at numerous local and state wide events, including the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Oktoberfest, Canberra Floriade and weddings. The Ensemble participates regularly in Polish cultural and religious events, including Polish feast and national days. Podhale organises local events including concerts, balls, fundraisers, a 'Dozynki' harvest celebration, a 'Goralskie Wesele' mountaineers wedding, and a debutant ball.

Podhale’s repertoire is based on authentic Polish Folklore, comprising of original dances from 25 Polish ethnographic regions and all 5 national dances, each encompassing folklore faithful choreography, costumes and music.

Podhale is named after Poland's most southern region located at the foothills of the Tatra Mountains, where existing folk culture thrives in the daily lives of its inhabitants, the Gorale.
