Kapela Polska is a five-person vocal-instrumental ensemble founded in 2020 under the musical direction of Jurek Ścisłowski. The band’s dynamic lineup brings together some of the best Polish musicians in Sydney.

Their performances of well-loved Polish contemporary songs and international popular music are characterised by a distinctive sound, enriched with Slavic, French, Gypsy, Latin, and celebratory influences. In the ensemble’s arrangements, the natural sound of instruments and voices is highlighted — Parisian accordion, expressive violin, thrilling percussion, and beautiful vocal harmonies. Together, these elements entertain audiences with melodic Polish and Eastern European music, blending contemporary pieces with swinging polka rhythms, folk, cabaret and jazz flavours.
